A very happy-looking Liyana for today’s set of photos! This outfit features a white button-down thrown over a cropped top and my favourite LBD – long black dress, that is. I am absolutely in love with the colour of this headscarf, though the material was a little difficult to work with. No matter, I’m getting better with every wear! I’ve worn this cropped top only with high-waisted slacks before, but it was getting a little annoying having to make sure I don’t accidentally expose myself whenever I raise my arms or flail them around like I always do. Cropped tops over maxi dresses have become my new favourite thing to try – it  helps to solve the problem of low necklines that you sometimes get with maxi dresses (both front AND back) and some cropped tops are more loose-fitting at the hems, leaving lots of room for air to flow in and out to cool down your insides. Who wouldn’t want that when you stay in a place as hot and humid as Singapore?
