Recently I was nominated on Instagram to do the black and white challenge, where I had to post a black and white photo each day for five days. Sticking with that theme, I wanted to style today’s look around a black and white colour palette. I threw a striped button-down (which kind of resembles a baseball jacket) over a black maxi dress and put on my trusty Converse sneakers to add a little more street into the overall getup. I topped it off with my favourite Ruby Woo to add a little glam and pull the entire look together. I was a little hesitant about wearing a maxi dress with an oversized button-down because it might end up looking too sloppy or baggy, but I think the vertical stripes solved that problem and followed pretty nicely with the length of the dress!

(Psst, a little secret: if you look closely, you’ll notice that my stripes are actually a very dark blue, not black! Since the stripes can pass off as two colours, I guess can style more looks around this one button-down… no complaints about that!)
