Boy, does it feel good to be back. After the end of my internship in early June, I flew off to Vietnam for a few days and then to Tasmania for about a week. It felt great to finally have a break and the week in Tazzy served as a sort of creative recharge, especially with the Dark Mofo festival that coincided with my trip. Two months away from the blog has left me scrambling to pick up where I left off and I’ve been spending my days seeking inspiration from my favourite bloggers. Of course, I could be overthinking the whole process but it does feel nice to kick my brain into working again after being away from this personal project for a while.
Here’s a casual outfit that I threw on a few days back when I headed out for some street art-hunting. I snagged this backpack from the Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. When I travel, I make it a point to find accessories or pieces of clothing that I can take home with me, be it handmade cultural goods or vintage clothing that I picked out from a store in the city. This bag is great for adding colour to basic ensembles, making it a perfect statement piece for days when I feel like dressing down. These black sandals have been sitting untouched in my shoe cabinet for the longest time, but are quickly becoming my favourite go-to shoes in this scathing hot weather that we’ve been having in Singapore. I’ve practically given up fitted pants altogether, opting for loose fits for better comfort. I have been scouting online stores for more pants to add to my not-so-growing collection… need more weather-appropriate clothes, asap!
P.S. Can you spot the Dr. Martens buckles? How cute are they!
