Selamat Hari Raya/Eid Mubarak my friends!! I’m writing up this post in between visits – I’ve been down with the flu the past week and this weekend is going to be a busy one with lots of visiting, eating and spending time with my family. A few days ago my package from Glossier came with some products that I wanted to use for the festive period. It was a great pick-me-up when I was feeling down and ill!
Perfecting Skin Tint in Dark
I’ve been eyeing the Perfecting Skin Tint for a while now. I stopped wearing foundation a few years ago and I’ve been trying to clear my skin, so this felt like the right fit if I wanted a little something extra before I apply my concealer. I knew what to expect – sheer, dewy coverage that evens out my skin tone with a subtle brightening effect. It feels comfortable on my face and I like how my skin still looks like skin, textures and all. I might even consider including this in my everyday makeup routine!
I love mascara. It’s the most important part of my makeup routine for me, and I’m always on the hunt for new products to try. So imagine my excitement when Lash Slick was released! I knew I had to get it. I applied it for the first time this morning and I’m really impressed with how it lengthens and separates my lashes. What’s lacking for me is volume. I love thick dramatic lashes, and this just didn’t do that well enough for me.
Lidstar in Lily, Cub and Herb
I was looking forward to trying this the most! I was really tempted to get every colour from the Lidstar range, but I managed to restrain myself – at least for now :p What I noticed when I swatched this was that the darker colours felt smoother and more evenly pigmented as compared to the lighter colour (Lily). I feel that this is quite common when you compare lighter pigments to darker ones in other products like lipstick, cream highlights, etc., so it didn’t bother me as much. I’m wearing Lily today and one tip that I can share is that with this product, application is key. Dabbing will give you a lot more colour payoff, versus swiping it all over the lid which is great for blending it out at the edges or creating a sheer wash of colour over the lids. But for maximum glitter, dab, dab, dab!
Have you tried any of these Glossier goodies?
