I was never a big fan of khaki, but this trench coat is slowly changing things for me – it goes well with almost everything, particularly this turtleneck (not that you can see the neckline) that’s a lovely shade of royal purple. And no, it is not a crime to repeat wardrobe pieces, nor is it a crime to be photographed in said repeated wardrobe pieces.
Sunday was spent at beautiful Delft where I had a lovely time wandering the streets and discovering quaint alleyways with new friends. The best moment of the day came when we took a break from all the walking and had our hot cocoas/fruit teas in a little cafe in the main square. The sun was shining, there was a cool breeze in the air and a street musician nearby was playing a very… “Parisian” tune on his accordion (if you get what I mean… I can’t quite find the exact term to describe it).
The daylight hours are stretching out longer as February inches closer to March. I get excited whenever I see traces of Spring coming, though this means I have to stop looking at oversized coats whenever I head out and remind myself that I won’t get to wear them anymore when Winter leaves us.
I have been waiting to wear this one for quite a while now – a military jacket that I snagged from a store along the streets of Venice when I was there last Summer. (Wow, the Singaporean girl is talking seasons!) I hesitated for a bit before I chose to wear a warm shade of purple together with a cooler toned one. I might be finding excuses in case I committed a fashion faux pas, but I suppose it could stand for the transition between different seasons that we are experiencing now. (ha ha ha, I just cringed at myself typing that sentence)
